SYA West 9-11 fell one game short of the Championship Game. Congratulations to the team as they represented themselves, their parents, and SYA well!

Congratulations go out to the SYA West 9-11 All Star team as they won the District 10 Championship with a victory over SYA East. The team, coached by Rob Hahne, now heads to the Virginia State Championship in Honaker. This tournament begins on July 15. Send in your team pictures and we will get them posted in our gallery. 

The Little League All Star season is upon us as play begins Saturday, June 18. Prior to that, the Special Games hosted by SYA Little League for Minors players in a number of District 10 leagues begins Friday, June 17. You can follow each tournament here:

Roughly 80 participants and almost $1,000 raised by 11u SYA Mets which will be donated to Kyle’s Kamp.

SYA Little League Baseball would like to thank the staff and students of Union Mill Elementary School for two great days of baseball on February 21st and 22nd.  The two-day event offered plenty of fun and baseball instruction for a few hundred students.  The Potomac Nationals Uncle Slam even made a guest appearance.  Special thanks to Brian Colella for organizing the event.

On January 18, 2016, Accenture employees based in Arlington, VA volunteered their time on a very cold day to aid the Centreville community.  The group completed numerous field maintenance activities on two fields used by hundreds of Southwestern Youth Association players for Little League baseball games and practices.  Their day-long efforts have further enhanced the safety and use of these facilities that are used on a regular basis by the children of our community for healthy activity, learning more about the value of teamwork, and becoming good citizens.
